Terms of use
Updated 29 September 2026
By using Klaro you agree to what is written below. We have tried to write it in plain language.
What Klaro does
It recognizes speech around you and shows it as text, and translates what is said into the language of the app. A machine does the recognizing — and it makes mistakes: it confuses similar words, loses names, stumbles over noise. For important decisions — medical, legal, financial — you must not rely on the captions alone, and a transcript is not a document.
It needs the internet to work: without a connection there will be no captions.
Your account
Sign-in is with Google, one account per person. Minutes belong to the account, so the balance is the same on your phone and in the browser. Don’t share your sign-in with others: everything done under your account counts as done by you.
Minutes
Time is counted while the microphone is on, to the second — including silence, because recognition is running and listening the whole time. A pause in a conversation is part of the conversation: we deliberately don’t stop recording for you, so that you don’t miss an answer while the app “thinks” it’s all over.
The first 30 minutes are a gift — once per device. After that, time is bought in packages in the browser. The seller is אוטורקורד, ע.מ. 321226482, payment is taken by iCount, and the receipt comes to your email. Minutes don’t expire. Minutes you have bought are not turned back into money; if something went wrong with a payment, write to us, and on a refund the corresponding minutes are taken off your balance.
When the minutes run out, recording stops, and the text already shown stays with you.
What you must not do
Record people where the law forbids it — responsibility for that is yours and yours alone. Present a transcript as an official document. Try to get around the counting of minutes, break into the service or overload it.
What we don’t promise
The service is provided as is. We don’t promise that recognition will be accurate, that the connection won’t drop or that Klaro will be available without interruption. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for unused minutes. Put simply: if Klaro lets you down, we’ll give back the minutes, but we are not responsible for the consequences of a conversation you understood wrongly.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time — at the very bottom of Settings. We may close access if the account is used for anything under “what you must not do”; in that case we’ll write to your email.
If these terms change
The update date is at the top. We’ll announce important changes in the app.
